Where Socialism and Communism got it wrong: Assumption: Man’s nature can be molded to serve the state altruistically Truth: Man’s nature is fixed; self comes first and work for the state fulfills self-interest, but only after his/her basic needs are met. Assumption: People are only members of a supposedly uniform group Truth: People are individuals… Continue reading Where Socialism and Communism got it wrong

Give us the money, or the turtles will get it!
A new study reveals rising temperatures are turning green turtle populations almost completely female in the northern Great Barrier Reef.
More than 200,000 nesting females—one of the largest populations in the world—call the northern Great Barrier Reef home. But this population could eventually crash without more males, according to the study published in Current Biology
How does climate change impact sex?
Because incubation temperature of turtle eggs determines the animal’s sex, a warmer nest results in more females. Increasing temperatures in Queensland’s north, linked to climate change, have led to virtually no male northern green sea turtles being born.
For the study, scientists caught green turtles at the Howick Group of islands where both northern and southern green turtle populations forage in the Great Barrier Reef. Using a combination of endocrinology and genetic tests, researchers identified the…

This is an opinion piece, a sort of alarmism-in-reverse, and no-one can be sure that any given weather or climate forecast will prove to be accurate or even on the right lines, but the arguments are here to consider. Numerous climate researchers do expect the solar slowdown to push average temperatures lower for at least a decade or two. Others think 0.04% carbon dioxide in the atmosphere will counter all that.
The danger from the Global Warming crowd is that they are misleading the entire world and preventing us from what is dangerously unfolding that sparks the rapid decline in civilization – GLOBAL COOLING, says Martin Armstrong at Armstrong Economics.
I previously warned that this is not my opinion, but simply our computer. If it were really conscious it would be running to store to buy heating pads. This year will be much colder for Europe…

My grandmother told me “Your sins will find you out.” I don’t know if it’s original, but it certainly seems true when you look at the sins of those who created the ozone hole and global warming deceptions. Exposure of the sins is not surprising because many of the same people produced the template used in both cases. It involved creating unnatural scenarios that would eventually be out of phase with natural events. The truth is slow, but it eventually catches up, because, as Aldous Huxley explained,
“Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.”
There is not now and never was a “hole in the ozone.” The phrase was a public relations construct to mislead and exploit fear as the basis for a political agenda. The procedure used in the exploitation of environmental and climate for a political agenda is to…

For a long time, there has been strong disagreement over the idea of a recent slowdown in global warming. Many people believe that there never was a slowdown. While other people have argued about when the slowdown occurred, and why.
This article will use the GISTEMP global temperature series, to investigate whether the slowdown is real. I know that some people will throw up their hands in horror, at the thought of using the GISTEMP temperature series. I have deliberately used GISTEMP, because it has a reputation as a heavily adjusted, warmist friendly, temperature series. If I can show strong evidence for a recent slowdown in GISTEMP, then the recent slowdown can not be denied.
The first thing that we need to establish, is when the slowdown occurred. Some people insist that the slowdown started in 1998. 1998 was a very strong El Nino year…

“The atmosphere around Uranus is one of the coldest in the solar system, but still contains clouds and ice, like our own atmosphere here on Earth.
“The changing brightness of the planet shows that something is happening to the clouds. We have found that the change is caused by two processes.
“One is chemical, caused as fluctuating levels of UV sunlight alters the colour of particles in the atmosphere. The other is due to high-speed particles from outside the solar system, known as galactic cosmic rays, bombarding the atmosphere and influencing the formation of clouds.”
The scientists used data from telescopes on Earth, as well as cosmic rays measured by the Voyager 2 spacecraft, to make their assessment.
To put that solar effect into perspective…
